If you are at all interested in a Stargate show with ANY of the original creators/performers involved, now is the time to say something. Otherwise it really will be the end of that chapter forever. Let them know you are THERE.
People Who Built
Stargate Are Speaking Up
When Amazon pulled the plug, the people who actually built Stargate didn't stay quiet. Franchise veterans publicly disputed the decision and pointed fans toward the campaign, their posts drawing hundreds of thousands of views. New to the franchise? Each name below is a real creator or actor; the smaller line under it is the character they played or the role they held.
My heart breaks. For the incredibly talented writers who worked tirelessly to bring this show to life… and for the long-suffering Stargate fandom who waited so long and came so close to getting a show they truly would have loved.
Martin and his team were doing amazing work and I wish the world got to see it. I wish I got to see it, too.

The new owners want to have their own entity with that franchise name attached to it. So they’ll have all new characters. They haven’t asked me to be a part of it… It’s different, it’s a new one. I’m the old guy!
Clearly excited about what they were making… completely respectful about what came before. You could see everything was firing on all cylinders… And now that’s not gonna happen.
Today many TV and movie franchises are struggling to appeal both to core fans and new viewers, from Star Wars and Star Trek to the Marvel cinematic universe.
Headliner quotes are verbatim from each person's own public posts or interviews, captured during research (view counts as recorded). Richard Dean Anderson spoke at MetzTorii on May 31, 2026, before the cancellation was announced. The Luttrell and Williams cards summarize their public posts. GateWorld and Dial the Gate are independent fan outlets covering the story. Each card links its source. None of these people or outlets are affiliated with, or have endorsed, this website.
This Is Who
We Owe
This is not an abstraction. Across thirty years, these are the people, by name, who created Stargate and brought it to life: the writers and producers, the crew behind the camera, and the cast of all four productions. A faithful revival is a chance to honour their work, and to bring some of them back.
Richard Dean Anderson was already a household name from MacGyver when he took the lead in Stargate SG-1 as Jack O’Neill, anchoring the show for eight seasons and executive-producing it through his own company. A mainstream star fronting the series is exactly the broad-appeal credibility studios spend fortunes chasing, and Stargate had it from day one. He is 76 now.

We Owe Them. And It Has To Be Now.
This is not about a logo or a back-catalogue title. It is about the people who gave years of their lives to Stargate, and some of them their finest work. We owe it to the ones already gone not to let the story end on a cancellation. And we owe it to the ones still here to move while they can still be part of what comes next. Every year of waiting is a year the franchise may never get back. That is the real reason this cannot wait.

The cast and crew gave years to a show they would have loved making, and never got to finish. They are the ones who lost the most, and the ones we owe.
